BANK OF AMERICA PRESENTS MAJOR GRANT TO MERCY MEDICINE CLINIC
FLORENCE – Bank of America will be coming to Mercy Medicine Clinic at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 14 to present a $5,000 grant that will be used to help sustain its ongoing efforts of providing medical care to the indigent and working poor.
Kaye Allen, executive director of Mercy Medicine Clinic, expressed her gratitude for Bank of America’s continued generosity through such gestures of philanthropy.
“These are difficult times for everyone, especially those who already suffer the burden of being unable to afford healthcare for themselves and their families,” she said. “This important contribution will significantly aid Mercy Medicine Clinic in its ability to provide superior care to the medically underserved of our region.”
Mercy Medicine Clinic, which was established in 1994, is a free Christian medical clinic that serves the indigent and working poor of Florence and Dillon counties. In addition to primary medical care, Mercy also features dental and retinal clinics, as well as a non-dispensing pharmacy.
